Everything went according to plan and pre-match thoughts at Anfield this afternoon as The Reds ran out 3-1 winners against a strong West Ham side.

This Liverpool team is clearly going from strength to strength after the midfield rebuild in the summer and it was a dominant display once more from Szoboszlai & Mac Allister. Snapping in to tackles. Breaking up play and driving the team forwards.

Our first game after a quick counter where Mo was brought down in the box for a clear penalty which he smashed home withe ease. West Ham equalised before the break after an impressive header from Bowen was clear of Ali's reach.

Once again the second half was where we came to life creating chance after chance. We were getting stronger and suffocating the Londoners with pressing and passing.

Mac Allister was really pulling the strings and when he found himself in space he chipped a lovely ball over the West Ham defence that Nunez latched on to and directed the ball in to the far left hand corner. Pure class all round..

The quality of subs we can now bring on are much better too. Gakpo, Gravenberch & Jota entered the field and it was like for like. They fitted in effortlessly constantly attacking. From a corner Virg headed down for Jota to finish from close range.

At 3-1 it was game over. It was a tough test. Not so much a question of can we come through it as this was never in doubt. More it was the first time we could field that starting 11 fresh and how easy can they dismantle teams.

Well if other teams were watching they can now see this is a very very strong Liverpool side and the more they play together the better they will get. In two tough games against West Ham & Villa we have come through with ease.
