RESULT: Liverpool 3-1 Leicester City.

What a night it was under those Anfield lights in the League Cup for those mighty reds. After going down to an early goal the fuse was lit and once again we came from behind to secure the victory. Once again it was 3-1..

Liverpool started with a much changed side. Quansah who was immense lined up alongside Konate. Curtis Jones started at right back and wore the Captains armband. Tsimikas finished the back four.

Endo played his best game for the reds so far. snapping into tackles and playing the ball round nicely. While Harvey Elliott and Gravenberch drove at the back line creating chance after chance for Gakpo, Doak & Jota.

The equaliser came after the break when Gakpo found himself free on the edge of the box and smashed a ball hard and low into the bottom right hand corner.

The second was an absolute rocket. Szoboszlai came off the bench and unleashed a rocket into the top left hand corner. Putting us in front for the first time in the tie.

It was an onslaught after that and that young lad Quansah who looks an exact replica of Virg broke free down the right wing and with his best Mo Salah impression fizzed a ball into Jota who back flicked a shot in off the far post. B-E-A-Eutiful.. 

It could have and should have been much more but we are in the hat for the next round and that's what really matters.. This team just gets better and better..
