Full Time: Liverpool 3-1 Bournemouth

After a slow start to the game where Bournemouth could well have been 2-0 up Liverpool turned things around through sheer grit and determination.. The Cherries had a goal disallowed for offside before they deservedly took the lead through..

We started really shaky and an exact replica off a lot of our displays last season left us with a mini mountain to climb. The usual reliable Alisson was making mistake after mistake. Trent in the inverted role looks pretty useless if we are all being honest and it cost us for their goal..

Things settled down a bit and Trent stayed out right and driving into the midfield areas he's accustomed too and the equaliser soon came. Jota breaking free from Trents pass and a little ricochetthe ball broke to Diaz. Who chipped a ball up and scissor kicked a ball low to the keepers left.

The excellent Szoboszlai won us a penalty after being tripped in the box and Mo stepped up looking not too confident.. His spot kick was saved but he followed up to slot it home from close range.. 2-1 at the break set up the second half nicely..

We started quick and should well have added to the scoreline before we had a little set back when Alexis Mac Allister was sent off for a straight red which was harsh to say the least.. After a mistimed tackle caught the Bournemouth player on the shin..

Normally panic would have set in but Szoboszlai quickly to grip of the game and after unleashing a low drive the keeper spilt it and Jota was there to score from close range..

Chances came more and more and the early season rustiness was there for all to see. That being said there were some great moments of attacking play. Normally revolving around Trent, Diaz & our new number midfield dynamo Szoboszlai. Finally a number 8 fit enough to grace Stevie G's legacy..

On a bit of a downside. Obviously A Mac is missing for a few games while Trent & Diaz were subbed off with a knock and possible muscle injury respectively..

OurLFC a home for Liverpool fans..
