Liverpool opened their Premier League campaign with a draw against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. We started off quick and created lots of chances and had it been a couple of games in we would have been 3-0 up.

We took the lead through a quick counter. A Mac picked it up in midfield and played a quick ball to Mo. He threaded a lovely pass through to Diaz who slotted home hard and low to the keepers right.

Chelsea came back after some poor defending from a Chelsea set piece. The defence trying to break out when a simple header left Disasi free in the box with a simple finish past the excellent on the day Alisson..

The game had a proper opening game of the season feel to it. Misplaced passes and poor decisions at key moments. If you'd have handed us a draw before the game you may well have taken it. Yet this was a chance missed possibly on our part.

The forward line went missing after that quick start. The midfield will be questioned but when the front 3 lose the ball so easy and fail to close the defenders down it will always be tough.

Klopp made the changes we were all calling for sub wise. The tactics were relatively ok so no complaints there. Although we weren't totally solid there are plenty of positives to take from this outing. A draw is fine and we go onto Bournemouth at home with plenty of confidence.
