Bournemouth 0-4 Liverpool

Liverpool came to life in the second half of this Premier League encounter to hit 3 past Bournemouth on the South Coast and open up a 5 point lead at the top of the table. Two goals from Jota & Nunez sealed the deal.

First Half

To sum up the first half it was a proper snooze fest.. Not that it was without its usual refereeing controversy. The refereeing inadequacies we are so used to seeing carried on once again. Luis Diaz took a really bad tackle. Not that it was malicious..

Yet it was right on the sweet spot where broken legs are rife. At the minimum it was a yellow. But for VAR for not to even look at it to the best of our knowledge just sums up the whole system. Curtis Jones against Spurs there was no hesitation. But we all know that.. There were claims for a penalty too in the second half..

In terms of chances the wind could have played a part once again here maybe. As they were at a proper minimum. We had openings but were restricted to poor long range efforts and some even poorer decisions when in good positions. Set plays too we had a couple of openings but again we didn't attack them with any sort of confidence..

The set up didn't feel right and the tempo once again was well below par for The Reds. It was something Jurgen had to address at half time.. Mac Allister was quality in midfield and Konate was solid in defence. So a bit of fine tuning and a kick up the backside was needed..

Second Half

Klopp certainly did crank them up cos after a few minutes Nunez broke the deadlock Jota finding himself free and slipping a nice pass to Nunez. Who bent one low to the keepers left. 1-0

The tempo was much much better now. Mac Allister once again was dominating the midfield and pinging the ball around. Bournemouth were really struggling to compete as we were dominating possession. When Klopp brought on Gakpo & Gravenberch it was a question of when not if the second would come..

Nunez won a header from a clearance which fell to Gakpo who played an inch perfect pass into Jota's path who unleashed a rocket again low to the keepers left which went in off the post.

It was Jota again for the third after a quick attack. Nunez crossed deep where the impressive Bradley found himself free. He played a simple ball for Jota who miss kicked.. Got the waaaays off the home crowd who should've learnt their lesson from Nunez's finish in the League Cup. As he latched on to his miscue and smashed one into the far left hand corner..

The fourth came when Gomez found Nunez free to tap in from close range as the game drew to a close..
