Bournemouth v Liverpool.. Sunday 21 January 16:30 BST

Liverpool travel down to the South Coast for the second time this season with a chance to increase their lead at the top of the table. We still have a few injuries to key players but should still line up strong in this Sunday afternoon kick off..

Injuries and players at AFCON have hit both sides hard here. Bournemouth are without a possible 10 and there are 9 out for ourselves.. So this could have a similar feel to that League Cup tie in terms of line ups. Although you feel Liverpool will have the better options.

So The Reds with a win can stretch that lead at the top but as with all away games in this league it will be a tough test.. Bournemouth sit second in the form guide. Behind ourselves.. Yet they have racked up some impressive results. No more so than the 3-0 win at Old Trafford.. We were celebrating that one with them..

Our old striker Dominic Solanke has been in great form.. Although they did lose last time out to Spurs.. Liverpool are on the back of that 4-2 win against Newcastle in league terms.. That excellent FA Cup win at Arsenal and the Semi Final win against Fulham in the League Cup see us in a rich vein of form..

Quick Stat Check.. Liverpool have won 4 & Drawn 2 of their last 6.. Bournemouth have Won 4 Drawn 1 & Lost 1 in that time.. The Reds scoring 11 and conceding 4 while Bournemouth have smashed in 14 and let in 7.. So there should be goals..

Liverpool Team News

So 9 out for this one. Long term injuries to Thiago, Bajcetic & Matip are all long term casualties.. Endo & Salah are on internationals with Salah pulling up with a hammy the other day.. In better news Trent, Szoboszlai, Tsimikas & Robbo should all be back at the end of the month give or take a game or two..

Liverpool Line Up

Ali, Konate, Quansah, Virg, Gomez, A Mac, Curtis, Gakpo, Jota, Nunez, Diaz

Bournemouth Team News

If we've got it bad The Cherries are really struggling with a huge 10 players out of this one.. Tyler Adams, Traore, Senesi, Fredericks, Ouattara, Semenyo, Randolph are defo out. While Kerkez, Smith & Kelly face late fitness test..

Bournemouth Line Up

Neto, Aarons, Zabarnyi, Mepham, Tavernier, Christie, Scott, Kluivert, Billing, Sinistera, Solanke

So Bournemouth are still able to get a half decent side out. Andoni Iraola is building a nice team here. As discussed they are on a great run with some very impressive results.. 14 goals in six games is a good return for any side.. With Solanke & Kluivert causing defences havoc they will always get chances..

THE GAME

Like every game at The Vitality they will come out and have a go.. Why wouldn't you.. The best form of defence is attack right..? In most cases yes.. Against us maybe not. But even so the one thing Bournemouth do right is they never change their playing style..

We will look to dominate possession once more and quieten the crowd as we should always do away from home. Quick counter attacks will play a big part too for The Reds as Bournemouth attack in numbers. Trent will be a huge miss for us as his pin point passing would open them up nicely..

Bournemouth will be full of energy trying to get through the lines quickly and will have plenty of chances. A few goal mouth scrambles along the way too. So Ali will have a busy afternoon as his six yard box gets peppered..

Liverpool are just strong all over the pitch. The front 3 is still not set in stone but it seems to be rotating pretty well. If coming on as a sub they have impressed also.. You feel all the front four could start here which could shake up their backline. Nunez & Jota have been ripping teams apart..

They have weaknesses in that back line and midfield.. Mac Allister & Curtis should dominate in there. Trent & Szoboszlia in there too and we would have ran the show. So we are in for an end to end ding dong here..

PREDICTION.. 3-0 To Them Mighty Reds..

Any of our front players could score at any time. Everybody knows that.. The midfield is at half strength but could add goals too. Yet you could see Virg popping up with a goal from a set piece..

We will dominate possession once we get a grip of the game and the long range efforts will start raining in again.. So a goal from outside the box and maybe a tap in should see the reds through this one..

We have distance shooters on tap.. Curtis, A Mac, Gakpo, Diaz and Nunez can all cause problems here.. At the other end you wouldn't rule out a Bournemouth goal although it will be tough for them..

OurLFC DangerMan..

Darwin Nunez.. He has been in such good form lately. Dominating defences in true Suarez Uruguayan Style.. It's something he needs to do regular. He has the energy and physicality to do so. The Premier League is not easy and it takes players a while to learn that and he is very close now.

The goals will definitely come. He has been so unlucky. Yet one thing all strikers know is that if you keep creating chances sooner or later they will go in.. I can't back this up with stats but Bobby Firmino took a while for the goals to flow and once he did he took off.

Nunez scored a worldy here in the League Cup and should hit one here..
