The reds carried on where they left off in midweek against Leeds.. The set up was the same.. We were patient and finally won out against an impressive Forest side.

No one saw Forest having a chance before kick off but they posed a serious threat from long throws and set pieces. Which could have been our downfall.. But when you have the class of players we have in attack goals are always never far away..

Diogo Jota hit two great goals one with his head from close range after a knock back from Fabs.. The other a great strikers finish. Controlling nicely on his chest before smashing the ball into the far corner with a left footed drive..

Both Forest goals were deflected efforts from Nico Williams and Gibbs-White. Each coming after Jota's strikes. The winner came from a set piece of our own. Trent who once again lined up in midfield whipped a great cross in for Mo to finish expertly..

The last ten minutes were a bit edgy and either team could have scored more but Liverpool remained resolute and held tight to get the 3 points that makes the league table look slightly better for us.

Anything is possible now. A tough trip away to West Ham awaits before 3 home games.. Things were by no means perfect and a better choice of substitutions could have made life easier but let's enjoy this victory. Its been one tough season and its nice to have a smile on your face on a Saturday evening..
