Liverpool came away with the points at Bramall Lane after a 2-0 victory on a chilly night in Sheffield.

In terms of performance this was a classic away day. We set up strong. Kept possession and hit them with a set piece goal. Virg could have been on a hat-trick at half time if we are being honest..

It was corner after corner in a busy first half and Virg's goal came from a pin point Trent AA cross from a corner. Our Center Half found himself free in the box to unleash a low drive to the keepers left.

It should have been more by half time as we rushed a couple more shots. Mo Salah in particular. Where a little bit of composure would have been a better option. But at 1-0 we were looking good..

The second half was just our domination by Liverpool. Sure there were a couple of shaky moments but you'd expect that in a tough away tie. Mo had the best chance getting on the end of another Trent corner.

He smashed an instinctive volley that looked like a certain goal before the keeper pulled off a world class save. Tipping the ball over. The whole move had top class written all over it.

Klopp made some good subs on and after the 60 minute mark. Harvey came on for Mo and linked up play really well and the possession based play took us to another level. Cutting through their back line at ease.

The goal that sealed the game came after another sub Nunez lost the ball and raced back to win the ball back before laying a lovely pass into Szoboszlai. Who took a touch and smashed it into the left hand roof of the net..

Another toughie next time against Palace awaits..
