PL Bournemouth v Liverpool
Bournemouth v Liverpool Sat 11 March 12:30 BST
A CHANCE OF TOP FOUR
As early kick offs go they can be very hard to predict.. One team usually starts slower and nine times out of ten its the home team.. Sometimes both teams start slow you just never know.. By half time we should know where this one is at..
Bournemouth are obviously struggling as they are rooted to the bottom of the Prem.. Not that we ever take anything for granted. I'm pretty sure there was a season we won the treble.. League Title.. European & League Cup winners and lost at home to Wolves and drew at their place.. Wolves got relegated.. Rooted to the bottom..
The obvious difference this time is for one.. It isn't Wolves.. and for two.. We put nine past these earlier in the season at home.. Which I'm sure they haven't forgotten.. This will add an extra spice to the mix.. The one big thing for us here is a win takes us back into the top four for the first time in ages.. Albeit for a few hours if the 3 o'clocks don't go our way..
Quick Stat Check.. The Cherries have won one of their last six.. Losing three and drawing two.. The reds have won four of their last six.. Drawing one.. With the loss coming against Real Madrid.. Liverpool have only ever lost once to Bournemouth. That 4-3 comeback in 2016..
LIVERPOOL TEAM NEWS
Pretty much the same as last time. No new injuries to report at time of post.. Arthur looks to be gathering fitness for next season.. Keita is doing what Keita does best and is running down his contract while chilling in the steam room.. Gomez & Thiago are very close to return.. Calvin Ramsay is out for the season most likely..
But news breaking everywhere yesterday was Luis Diaz is set to return which is excellent news.. He makes a clicking strike force a much more potent threat.. If he does feature it will be from the bench you'd have thought.. If he isn't quite ready he must be seriously close..
BOURNEMOUTH
The hosts have quite a few injuries.. Eight in all.. Brooks, Stanislas, Kelly, Zabarnyi, Taverna, Lerma, Traore & Matias which could easily explain their struggles.. Recently though they have held Newcastle and nearly toppled Arsenal at The Emirates so they have some fight..
Personally Bournemouth is a cool little club.. Ive spent many times in the town as I grew up near there and the people are great.. Liverpool fans heading down there should stay for the weekend its a top night out.. Even better when its warmer..
Back to the football..
DANGERMAN.. Dominic Solanke.. Not scoring as many as he should but we know he's a menace for defenders.. Not that Virg & Konate can't control him but given a chance he'll find the back of the net..
LIVERPOOL LINEUP
Ali, Trent, Konate, Virg, Robbo, Fabs, Bajcetic, Hendo, Mo, Gakpo, Nunez
THE GAME
As discussed previously these 12:30's are hard to call but you'd expect us to start strong off the back of that quality result against United.. The front three looked lethal and should carry on.. Although sometimes after a huge win it doesn't go to plan..
Still we are starting to look like the power house we always knew we were.. With Diaz, Thiago & Joe knocking on the door plus Bobby, Konate & Jota coming back recently hunger for first team selection will be back with avengeance..
Its nice too that we are starting to put out the same team more or less every week.. Which has kind of coincided with all the clean sheets.. The solid base that then allows us to win these games..
So solid at the back.. Bajcetic may well come in for this one so lots of energy in midfield and yeah.. That front three can just cut loose..
PREDICTION.. 4-0 to them mighty reds.. A quick start from the reds.. Mo loves it here and could easily hit a brace or a hat-trick.. Nunez will run them ragged and Gakpo could easily hit a couple too after them excellent finishes last time out..
OurLFC DANGERMAN.. It has to be Mo..
