Liverpool 2-0 Napoli

Liverpool 2 - 0 Napoli:

In the final game of the Champions League group stages the reds came through with a 2-0 win against the eventual group winners Napoli.. It was more of a huge confidence boost for Liverpool and stands us in good stead for the game against Spurs weekend..

Late goals from Mo & Nunez sealed the deal in what was a massive improvement on a performance level.. With Konate restored to the heart of the Liverpool defence we just looked instantly solid.. 

Curtis Jones came in wide left with Bobby up front and they did well but it was the impressive Nunez who took the game to the Italians and could well have had both goals. His header looked to have crossed the line from a corner but Mo was there to make sure..

The roles were reversed so to speak for Nunez goal. Virg rising high from a corner to power a header at goal.. The keeper saved and Nunez smashed it in. VAR saw he was on side and we are all happy.. 

We go again the weekend..
