One of the most important Merseyside Derby games in history.
A must win to stay in the hunt and remain 1 point from City.
Liverpool are bidding for the ALL4 whilst Everton are battling to stave off relegation. Come on Burnley!
We had one of Our easiest games of the season at home to Manchester United 4 - 0 win. The worst showing from United in living memory. I doubt these Blues will rollover so easily.
In Our last 2 games Our qualities are shining through. The high press from the front 3, Mo breaking his temporary Goal drought, the full backs bombing forward, Our mids box to box and Our high line often criticised but totally effective.
It's no surprise that we start as favourites against Everton. We are the top scorers in the league (83) with the second-best defence (22). Moreover we are undefeated in Our last 11 league games.
It has not been a great season for Everton. The Toothless Toffees are hovering above the drop zone, in contrast a single point above 18th-place Burnley.
Fat Frank has not steadied the ship after Agent Rafa's departure he's just laden them with more weight. At this point they are sinking faster than the titanic. Question is how desperate and to what level are they prepared to sink before they employ 'Pickford tactics' again.
The Boss alluded to their suspected dirty tricks in his presser.
On whether there is 'more riding on this Merseyside derby than usual'...
Maybe yes, but these derbies never lacked intensity, to be honest. I love intensity in football, I love physicality in football but just in the rulebook and just make sure that we all stick to that, don't go over the top, these kind of things, [don't] make it like in the 'good old times', let me say it like this, and even we suffered from these situations. I just want to have a very intense, very physical and legally-aggressive football game but not more, because we play games after the derby as well – we should not forget, all of us
Hoping for a clean fight but it's the Blue Sh*** Innit! Bring it On !
In it to Win it
