July 2023 - Liverpool Football Club

This is the most exciting, unnerving, unpredictable, interesting window the club has experienced for many a year.

Sooo much up for discussion...

Latest news is Hendo accepting an offer of £700,000 a week(currently on £190,000 a week) from Al-Etti something(who cares) if the clubs can agree a transfer fee rumoured to be £10-£20M for a 33 year old player with 2 years left on his contract that has won every notable honour in club football.

An England International player who has been a major influence on and off the field in his career promoting many good causes along the way not least the rights for the LGBTQ+ community.  Looks like he has swapped his Rainbow Armband and Shoelaces for an extra £50 million notes.  Why?  Jordan! Why?

Next up in the rumoured sales department is Fabinho.  Once known as our midfield general.

It is believed, if rumours are ever true, that Al-Itty something(who cares) want our 29 year old defensive wall for the miserly sum of £40 million and who knows what personal terms he could command.  As a relative youngster in this market he could attain an extended contract of 4-5 years on unbelievable weekly wages.

Joining the bandwagon of talent including his compatriot and much adored Firmino in Saudi Arabia could well be compelling for our out of sorts Fabs and would be a marquee signing for the Saudi owned league.

Finally, in this piece, we have persistent rumours regarding Thiago.  It is reported that at this stage Thiago's camp have rejected one very lucrative offer from an unnamed Saudi based outfit in preference for seeing out the final year of his contract with our glorious Reds.

Currently on the injury list Thiago has returned to pre season training but sadly to the treatment room.

There are no reports yet if an improved, and tempting offer, will be forthcoming but for now he remains in Jurgen's plans for the new season.

It seems unconceivable that 3 of our most successful midfielders could be raided by the Saudi's in one window leaving us threadbare of such enormous experience.  You can't buy experience they say, apparently you can!

It must be noted that at this time on this day no 'formal offers have arrived to the club.

It's certainly a 'Sheik' up summer for the European leagues, where will it end and why are they testing the waters in the major leagues?

Up the Reds
YNWA!
