With loads of changes so far this summer lets get into it..

ALEXIS MAC ALLISTER

Once again The Reds came flying out the transfer blocks with the top quality signing of the World Cup winning Argentine.. With all the names flying around the usual media transfer circus. This was the one personally I was hoping would get over the line..

He was one of the standout players in that World Cup winning team and has been exceptional in the premier League. So yes.. Its tough to settle in at a new club but that experience should make the transition quite smooth..

Mane's number 10 shirt has been passed on to one hell of a player and at £35 million this will be the biggest steal of the window.

LUIS DIAZ #7

Now don't get me wrong James Milner was a very good player and signing for us.. He was a top class pro.. Put everyone to shame in the bleep test and never let us down. We wish him all the best at Brighton..

But that number 7 shirt on the back of our Skilful.. Gets you on the edge of your seat every time he gets the ball.. Colombian goal scoring and assist machine fills me with absolute joy.. We love our traditions at our great club. Others try to copy it.. Yet this change is one of my favourites so far.. The legends before will be excited by this too.

THE ANFIELD ROAD END

We have all been tuned in to the YouTube videos over the last year or so.. The drone boys have done a great job delivering some really cool footage keeping us all up to speed.. Now we are weeks away from the grand opening against Bournemouth..

One personal gripe having grown up and worked for years in the building trade was watching those trades going at snails pace.. But thats how they roll.. One fixing an hour.. Its taken them over a week to clear the pitch.. Just wack all that covering on a lorry and get it the funk out of there.. Rant over..

Still the new stand looks epic.. 7000 more fans will be able to get in to the games.. The noise will be deafening.. It compliments the new Main Stand really well and it brings the stadium well in to the 21st century.. Lets hope the rebuild doesn't stop there as that world famous Kop looks tiny in comparison.. Which of course it isn't but imagine another 7 or 8 thousand Kopites added to the mix.. Cool..

OUT WITH THE OLD

One of the reasons for last years poor performances was a lack of depth in midfield.. Not because of numbers.. More so quality players who are going to push each other to compete.. Naby Keita, The Ox & Arthur Melo have left the building along with James Milner (again who always delivered) who was ageing slightly though you wouldn't know it..

Plus Calvin Ramsay & Fabio Carvalho have been loaned out to gain valuable experience as they look to get those minutes under their belts as they progress in their young careers..

So that is six players we will look to replace. Who should have been pushing for starting places that were either injured or not up to the task last time out.. Plus Bobby who struggled a bit with injuries himself. Yet looked frightening when he was playing.. We will all miss that smile..

Some are in place already of course and we look forward to more coming through the youth set up in pre season..

IN WITH THE NEW

Alongside Mac Allister & the soon to be announced Dominik Szoboszlai there has been a change in the recruitment team as Jorg Schmadtke has taken over the role of Sporting Director at the club.

He will have a pretty busy summer with that midfield evolution. With possibly one more incoming in that part of the team and a defender too another area the club are looking at to reinforce.. If they are of the quality we have achieved so far then things look great.

So it's been another summer of changes on and off the pitch. All of which are very positive.. Things haven't really started yet either.

DONT FORGET..

Yeah.. With Trents new positional change.. Bajcetic set to return.. Diaz should be flying after injury and the other forwards should be more settled. There's also a couple more big shirt numbers up for grabs..

Alongside the future signings there will be plenty more talking points as the lads get ready to return to training next week but you get the feeling this will be the best Liverpool squad we will have seen in this modern era..

Champions League football will be missed but the UEFA Cup as we know it is a great place to bring some of our exciting youngsters through. This time next year we will be firmly established as the power house we are with quite possibly a few more major honours tucked away in that trophy room.

It was a really disappointing season last time out but there is one team the others will always fear. OurLFC..
