Who:  Brighton

When:   Saturday 1st October, 15:00 BST..

Where:  ANFIELD

I'm hearing a little murmur that the reds actually have a game this weekend..

Liverpool v Brighton:

So it's true.. Liverpool finally enter the hallowed turf once more in what seems to be like the start of a new season.. In what is a World Cup Year where the games were being crammed in so we can have a break for the festivities in November & December.. Some genius of the game decided to throw in an international break.. NEGATIVE..

POSITIVES.. Thankfully at time of posting all our players are back from that international break injury free.. and during the 3 weeks off a few have made recoveries from injuries.. Which we will get into later in the post.

Plus Liverpool Legends beat their Man United counterparts in a quite entertaining fixture.. But there is nothing better than a Saturday afternoon kick off at 3pm. It actually feels good writing it.. Hopefully the stream works though!!

Liverpool Team News:

So in terms of team news a few are still out.. Curtis Jones has no return date listed which is a shame.. Keita & The Ox are pretty much paying the physios wages.. and Andy Robbo is still not training.. Other than that all seems pretty cool..

Hendo turned out for England.. Konate, Ramsay & Kelleher are back in training. Diaz, Nunez & Jota have not trained today.. Diaz is down to travelling home a bit later than the rest. Nunez & Jota we are unsure of although it could be they just need a rest.. Jota himself came off due to fatigue in his game for Portugal..

Brighton:

Well Brighton are certainly not a team to be taking for granted.. The one thing in our favour here apart from our returning quality players is the fact their manager was poached by Chelsea.. Things shouldn't change too much you'd have thought but he was very influential in building quite a resilient little team down there on the south coast..

Their new man Roberto De Zerbi is a bit of an unknown entity having recently managed Shaktar Donetsk & Sassulo previously.. How they set up nobody knows.. Quite possibly a 433 yet lets not try and predict the unpredictable..

Injury wise they are full strength barring Jakub Moder.. Adam Lallana has just recovered from a short spell on the sidelines so could play a part from the bench which would be nice for him and the fans..

DANGERMAN: Alexis Macallister

Liverpool Team Sheet:

So with a fairly strong load of players to choose from we have to go in strong and get them points flowing again..

Ali, Trent, Matip, Virg, Tsimi, Hendo, Fabs, Thiago, Mo, Bobby, Harvey

Prediction:

You can't look anywhere other than 3 points to the reds here. A nice home game on our return to Premiership football. Konate coming back helps bolster that defence. Although he probably won't feature for a a game or two..

The midfield looks a bit stronger too and like the defence can feature in multiple formats with multiple player options.. Players can be rested in between our marathon run of nine games this month.. So these are very welcome returns..

The forward line is struggling a bit at the minute to find its feet. Down to the huge loss of Mane, injuries and drops in form. This will settle down we have no doubt. When.. Well.. Depending on team selection over the next couple of games we will have a better idea..

If Jota & Nunez are just chilling for an extra day then sweet.. You would want them to start.. Diaz could well come straight back into the team after his travels too and would take Harvey's spot in our selection. As would Nunez or Jota from Bobby's.. You get the feeling these guys will be jigged around until they click.

Klopp will have his starting 3. We all have our own thoughts too so the sooner we get there the better. The midfield and defence may have to chip in on the goal front more frequently until this is set in stone.. We should be far too strong for The Seagulls..

3-0 to them mighty reds
