Exciting times are ahead for the Stadium and the Fans.. The Anfield Road redevelopment will see 7,000 more seats added to our amazing ground.
Bringing the total capacity to more than 61,000. Who knows we could even break the previous record gate set when we faced Wolves in 1952. 61,905 watched that day..
From the outside and going off the artist impressions. We can see we are going to follow suit with the new Main Stand. Which was a huge breath of fresh air when this was unveiled.
Huge windows which show you what you are missing out on from the street. Very similar in design and really welcoming.
With the brick facade and the new seating area towering into the sky. It links perfectly to the Main Stand too. Leaving the question.. Is this where the redevelopment stops..?
The footprint of the new stand is much larger than the existing too. Making it look as breathtaking as the Main Stand. With the perfectly landscaped pathways and grass verges to boot. This looks very sharp..
Inside though is where the real magic happens.. The stand looks epic. Again moulding seamlessly into that Main Stand. You can only imagine the sound that's gonna kick off from that.
I was at the first home game when the Main Stand opened and it was loud.. Very loud.. 7,000 more passionate fans will make this a real hot bed..
I suppose this could always leave us open to filling the corners with seats too.. Only downside is there will be away fans in there..
With the works set to be continued for 2023-24 season we will watch this masterpiece grow before our eyes..
A cool video we have found shows the time-lapse of the works and wets them taste buds even more..
