Transfer Update..

With two quality signings already pictured in their shiny new Liverpool kits we don't look to have quite finished. So who else is of interest.. What positions need addressing still.. And Who is leaving..

Again the way the club plays it nobody ever knows what's coming plus transfers aren't as easy as some may think to get over the line.. But we should be in this ball park player wise and positionally..

ROMEO LAVIA

With Southampton going down last season you'd expect a few of their players to look for moves. Lavia looks likely to be one of them. At only 19 he is very young yet comes with a wealth of experience in the Premier League. As much as 34 games can bring you anyway..

He operates as a defensive midfielder and could rotate nicely with Fabs and play alongside him too. He is a powerhouse, comfortable on the ball and again at 19 has years to develop his game at the highest level..

The only problem with dealing with English clubs is inflated prices on players but a deal could be struck and talks are believed to be under way..

KHEPHREN THURAM

Very similar to Lavia in build and playing style yet you can add dribbling skills to the mix. He's been a regular at Nice racking up well over 130 appearances for the French outfit.. He scores goals and assists although those numbers could be more impressive and something Klopp will be sure to work on..

At 22 and a similar age we seem to target with most signings once again there is time to develop. With other seasoned pros around the club still there is no rush yet he can still do a job instantly..

With the Under 21 Euros now over for France this one could hot up pretty quickly.. Could we sign Thuram & Lavia..? Why not.. With 5 midfielders leaving this summer that would be 4 replacements and a young Bajcetic.. The academy could provide more but you feel these moves will stand us in good stead for many years to come..

A fee in the region of £30+ million could see this over the line

MICKY VAN DE VEN

With all the talk of new formations and team set up a left footed CB is an obvious necessity and could free up Robbo to move into midfield too.. Another assist king like Trent but we'll save that for another post..

He also looks like a powerhouse.. Tall.. A tough tackler but can play a bit too.. Very comfortable on the ball he would slot in nicely on the left side of a back 3 and can also play left back..

Carrying on the age theme at 22 he is a no brainer and with a fee of £25 million being talked of and Jorg Schmadtke connections with Wolfsburg (unless they arent happy he left them for us) then this could well happen.

Spurs are also interested in him but a player similar is what we are after we believe.

OTHER AREAS

GOALKEEPER This could be an option too dependent on what Kelleher wants to do. He will Get plenty of game time this season with UEFA,FA, & League Cup games. With Ali around he may take this chance to become #1 elsewhere..

RIGHT BACK This would depend on tactics although Joe Gomez would be the clear favourite if Trent does take up that midfield role permanently. Again another no brainer.. Konate can operate on the right of a back 3 and at right back but Joe has proven himself there.

Conor Bradley also arrives back from his loan spell at Bolton with a point to prove and will push for that spot. This could also explain Calvin Ramsay's loan move.. So a transfer here looks less likely with all these options.

WHO'S LEAVING

Considering all the players who have left already or been loaned out you'd expect not too many more to follow suit.. Also if you factor in the UEFA Cup then loans could be a bit more limited for the young guns too this season as this is ideal territory for them to flourish..

THIAGO With all these new signings and his injury track record we may look to cash in.. Saudi interest has been talked of..

KELLEHER. As discussed he may well want that #1 shirt elsewhere and could demand a nice little transfer fee..

NAT PHILLIPS. Like Kelleher this could be his moment to secure a starting spot elsewhere he's certainly good enough

TSIMIKAS. If a left sided CB come LB is signed then he may look for a move

MATIP & GOMEZ. If that dressing room shirt video is to be believed then these two could go.. They would both get good transfer fees but are still top quality players that can more than play a part still..

LOANS. Carvalho, Ramsay, Rhys Williams are some of the bigger names to already agreed loans for next season. Alongside them Berg, Kaide Gordon, Musialowski, Bobby Clark & at a push Ben Doak may look to get valuable minutes although Doak should stick around..

We will bring you transfer news as and when we see fit..
