Luis Diaz Wins The Vote:

On a night that will probably be remembered for the wrong reasons (Nunez's Red).. One man took the game by the scruff of the neck and salvaged a point against a resilient Palace team..

He had played well all night to be fair but the sending off flicked a switch and he took things to the levels we were accustomed to last season.. He was simply unplayable.. He made it feel like we had 12 men on the pitch.. and his goal was just sublime..

Luis Diaz Is Your Star Player..

Young Harvey:

Coming second in the vote Harvey Elliott on the back of signing a new 5 year deal was at it from the off.. Instrumental in all aspects of play. He was constantly in possession.. Playing some lovely passes.. Short & Long all over the Anfield turf.. Chasing back like a terrier and quick in to tackles..

He was unlucky on a couple of occasions not to score. Heading one straight at the keeper and showing some wonderful composure when driving into the box. First a shimmy, then a fake shot and apart from a last ditch block his shot into the bottom corner would have given us the lead..

Its only a question of time now before he finds that end product. Had he not missed a large chunk of last season you can imagine the player he would be now with them valuable games under his belt..

Your Views..

Once again you all chipped in with your say on the game and your MOTM selection.. Here are a selection of your comments

"Diaz, Trent, were excellent"

Phil

"Diaz is working so extremely hard - it seems like we will have to turn to him for points this season. His goal was out of this world - he just decided that it was time to put it away and then he did. Elliott was great too for being just 19 but my vote is bound to get to Diaz"

Jan

"Diaz is electric; getting fouled every time he touches the ball. Elliott impressed; really really well at tracking back and stealing back passes.."

Pablo

"Diaz not just for that amazing goal.. but for the whole game. It was like his shackles came off when we went down to 10 though. He needs the freedom to do whatever he wants, when he wants.. Shout out to our Harvey lad too. His reading of the game, and the whole package"

Pam

"Diaz what a goal and work rate excellent, so my vote goes to Diaz. Thought Elliott was really good also"
