Nott'm Forest (a) Premier League

Who:  Nottingham Forest

When:  Saturday 22.10.22 12.30pm KO BST.

Where:  City Ground

3 Wins on the bounce. A 4th may be considered a mini run.  I've got my trainee's on.

Nottingham Forest V Liverpool:

Rythym builder, we have been banging the drum for a few games now with the odd missed beat but enough that we can start to feel that heartbeat returning.  Is this an opportunity to bring the bass section on board.

Forest, bottom of the league with 1 win 3 draws and 7 losses to date would seem to be there for the taking by a resurgent 7th placed Liverpool who have 3 wins on the bounce, 2 in the league and 1 in Europe against Rangers.

Nunez was outstanding in his 50 minute outing in the week against West Ham scoring his first Anfield goal in the Premier League and causing havoc amongst their back line for the duration of the game. Starting to settle in, he looks the real deal as he warms to his new surroundings.

Unfortunately he was subbed with a slight hamstring pull which may put him on the side lines for this one.  Hopefully not, as I am itching to see him wreak havoc with many a defence this season. Once we get the Bass sorted we can turn up the Treble(Trouble).

LIVERPOOL TEAM NEWS:

As mentioned Darwin is a doubt with a slight hamstring problem hence his early substitution on Wednesday to be assessed as I write. Confirmed as unavailable are Ibou, Luis, Joel, Naby, Diogo, and Arthur.

I will post updates in the next match preview as to expected return dates for the players out , far too depressing to post them now especially with El Nunez possibly out..

Nottingham Forest

I could detail their injuries but to be honest they have 6 doubtful and about 20 others available after their purchase of 21 billion players in the summer haha.. They have a few knocks to some of their squad, nothing that would rock them though.

Dangerman :.Ex Red - Neco Williams

Liverpool Team Prediction:

Squad rotation and injuries will obviously play a part.  The use of 5 subs will almost certainly be a part of the medical plan to try and keep the remaining squad fit and firing.

Ali-Milner-Joe-Virg-Robbo-Hendo-Fabs-Trent-Bobby-Mo-Harvey

in a 4-2-3-1 its time to unleash Trent down that right wing. Milner was excellent at right back v City.. Mo is nailing it as a striker.. Its quite simple.. Play players in their right positions and if it ain't broke.. Don't fix it..

THE GAME:

As always, every game in the premier league is unpredictable and difficult. This will be no different regardless of dodgy refs.  The City Ground will be bouncing as they see Liverpool like we see Man Utd.  Great Occasion for them.

Expecting them to set up tight for the draw with a lucky break or set piece their plan and we should be doing all the running as per usual to close and press. Our quality against theirs is unquestionable and after the crowd settles on 15-20 we should start to show our authority in the match.

I expect us to control the game, rarely look in danger and walk away with all 3 points.. I've got me Trainee's on we are going for a RUN!

OUR DANGERMAN: Darwin Nunez/Salah hatrick
