Man City (h) Premier League

Who :  Man City

When :   Sunday 16th October, 16:30 BST..

Where :  Anfield

They don't come much bigger or better than this battle.

LIVERPOOL V MAN CITY:

Again we go into a tough premier league game after a fantastic, somewhat eye opening, victory away against Rangers. It felt good to see the boys hand out a spanking if only, no disrespect intended, to Rangers..

City as most of us know are a whole different beast and the media and just about every body else have gone Haaland crazy.  Yeah he's good but so are Mo and Nunez and Bobby and Jota.  I take heart from the Community Shield and the way we took the game to them that day.

That's the way to approach this one.. Start fast, get them on the back foot from the off and go at it full force.  Suffocate them into submission.  We can do it..  No player should NOT be right up for this match.

The Anfield Faithful and a few 100 million around the Globe will be urging the Reds to take the Shitty Oil City Slickers down.. We've done it before and We can do it again.  Come On!

LIVERPOOL TEAM NEWS:

The treatment rooms at the AXA training facility are busy as per usual of late.. Ox, Naby and Arthur are all out with thigh injuries whilst Curtis is back in training, maybe a possibility for the bench.  Thats the Mids.

At the back Trent - ankle (maybe you wouldn't say he was at the back a lot) and Jo-El - calf/shin are out.  Unknown is Ibou who missed training on Friday with a small muscle injury (keep yer hands out yer pants big boy) could be out could be in nothing sure with that one.

Up front disaster, Luiz Fernando Diaz, massive miss to all fans.  Knee injury will keep him out until after the World Cup

Man City Team News

City have problems in their back line as well in that Stones and Walker are both out joined by Kalvin Phillips.. Lets face it they don't sweat injuries much do they.  Maybe if Haaland disappeared down an Oil Well for a while it may effect or affect them.

Dangerman : Really..

Liverpool Predicted Line Up

I'm certainly not goin to try tell the gaffer who he should line up.. This is certainly just a guess at what he might be thinking.. I would Love to know what you think and why?  A lot will depend on late fitness tests.. Up the Reds!

THE GAME:

I believe against all the pundits etc etc that we have a great chance in this particular game to put many ills to right.. First, the squad should be pumped up for this in front of a full Anfield that will be in full voice from the first whistle.

VVD has never lost a game in which he played at Anfield in the league.  A proud record indeed.. City do not like Anfield and we don't like them so that feelings mutual..

I believe JK will close that hole at right back certainly with Trent out and keep us compact behind a midfield that will link with the forwards and be key in the press and transitions.

All in all this game will not be goalless it never is.  Taking the lead for once would be a nice advantage but we do know how to turn it around should the worst happen.

OUR DANGERMAN: Darwin Nunez
