Who:  Everton

When:  Saturday 23rd September, 12:30 BST,

Where:  Goodison Park

The first derby of the season has come around pretty quick. After 2 consecutive wins we go to Everton on the back of a 9-0 win and an amazing comeback.. Early start for this one so set your alarms..

Everton v Liverpool:

A bit like the Man United away game you know exactly what to expect in this fixture.. The atmosphere will be loud.. Even for an early kick off.. Everton won't hold back and will come at us. The tackles will be flying in and we will have to set up strong..

Everton come in to this game on the back of 3 Premier League draws with Leeds, Brentford & Forest.. Plus a loss to Aston Villa away in the opening game of the season.. They have registered a victory though in the League Cup..

Liverpool Team News:

Finally a chink of light in what looked like a pretty heavy injury list.. Still out are Kelleher, Thiago, Konate, Keita & The Ox.. Hendo also joined this list last time out against Newcastle. Coming off with a hamstring strain..

Back in training though this week were Joel Matip & Curtis Jones who featured on the bench mid week. They may well feature here at some point but there is no need to rush them..

Also Calvin Ramsay has been training and the big news is Diogo Jota could hit the training pitch too.. Darwin Nunez will return from suspension and new signing Arthur Melo is waiting on international clearance at time of post.. So this may change too to add more numbers to the squad..

Everton Set Up:

Everton have quite a few injuries themselves with Mina, Townsend, Godfrey, Calvert-Lewin, Doucoure & Holgate all out. Which are all pretty serious misses for them.

New signing Conor Coady who we know very well will start in a back four for Everton. They should set up in a 4-3-3 and will have a bit of pace up front in Gray, McNeil & Gordon so we will have to be on our toes as we mentioned earlier..

They still have a good squad to choose from so it will be interesting to see how they line up..

Liverpool Team Sheet:

There is two ways to look at this.. We can either go with the team that has started the last couple of games which is more than likely with a change for Hendo as he is out injured..

Ali, Trent, Virg, Joe, Robbo, Fabs, Elliott, Milner, Mo, Bobby, Diaz.. Or..

Is it time to go in strong..

Ali, Joe, Matip, Virg, Robbo, Fabs, Milner, Bobby, Mo, Nunez, Diaz..

We will leave that up for debate..

Prediction:

This will be a hard one to call.. Away games have been our achilles heel so far this season. Although its in its early days.. Early kick offs are notorious for a slow start from one if not both teams.. You can't even call that though in a derby..

So it really is down to the team sheets.. If we go with the first option you can see the obvious.. Everton will target our right back and it will be tough.. We will have to be patient and really take our chances.

If we go down the stronger route.. The holes disappear from defence we are solid in midfield and Nunez spearheading the attack will give Mo & Diaz a bit more freedom than they have had of late.. The first goal as ever is as important as that clean sheet..

Either way on paper we look a lot stronger them.. Mark Gordon out the game. Start Nunez and Gomez.. We are gold..

2-0 to them mighty reds.. 5-0 if Nunez starts
