I for one am really pleased Sadio is finally getting the plaudits he deserves. He's been in unstoppable form ever since he shifted to lead the attack upon Luis Diaz's arrival in January. The pair are already growing a great understanding..
Link Up:
One thing to really note in recent performances is this link up play between the two.. There were a couple of glimpses against Spurs, and a lot more against Villa..
In the first half Diaz was slotted through and squared the ball to Mane for a simple tap in. Only for it to be ruled out for offside. Yet his first thought was to set up his team mate..
This mentality can only benefit the team and was highlighted even more so when Diaz crossed superbly for Mane to guide a header into the far corner for the winner..
Mane So Strong:
Sadio was in inspired form on the night. Not just linking up play.. He was literally everywhere and the strength he shows is unbelievable. His heading ability too was there for all to see. Often towering above his 6 foot plus centre back markers.
He was unlucky with a header in the first half too. Sending it just wide.. And his finish was pure class for the goal.
In true Mane style he was seen defending deep in his own half with minutes left on the clock to make sure we got the win and 3 valuable points. Lets get him signed up to a new deal..
