Once again we put it to the vote in our Facebook group for the games star player.. Three players topped the tree for this one and rightly so. It could have been a couple more too after an excellent team performance.
Sadio Mane came top with a clear majority of the votes after an absolute masterclass. He was well up for this one and was leading that front line from the off.. Quickly closing everything down.. Which as you all know led to his first goal. His second was a real quality finish..
Thiago Comes Second..
At one point this was quite a close thing as our number 6 was instrumental in everything we done yesterday. It was a great midfield display all round yesterday. Especially in the first half.
Thiago is nailing every performance right now at the business end of the season which is good timing. His one-two's which led to Mane's second goal were top class. That chip was waiting to be smashed in..
Luis Diaz
No post at the minute is complete without a shout out to Luis Diaz.. He was simply on fire at Wembley against City which is another sure fire sign of what's yet to come from the Colombian. Every time he's on the ball you are on the edge of your seat. Luis came third in the vote
