Liverpool 4 - 0 Manchester United

Looking at the score predictions before the game from the group everybody felt this was going to be a high scoring game in favour of ourselves.. An easy three points under the lights on a Tuesday night at Anfield..

I'm not sure anyone could have predicted the manner in which this happened.. I mean the first half against City was quality but this was different class.. It was a demolition of a first half.. A slow start to the second.. and then we stepped it up to wrap things up easily.

Pass & Move..

The game started quickly for the reds backed by a bouncing Anfield. Not just the Kop.. The place was rocking.. United set up with a back three/five.. and to play this system you need to know it very well defensively or a team like Liverpool who attack down the wings will punish you..

In the 5th minute this point was proven.. With some nice play down the right.. Mane dropped deep and played a simple through ball that Trent & Mo were both onto in a flash. With no United defender in sight Mo crossed a lovely ball for Diaz to smash in from close range..

7th Minute Applause

In the seventh minute of the game the whole stadium stood to show their heart felt thoughts for Cristiano Ronaldo and his family. Who are grieving the loss of their baby. A terrible loss and heartbreaking experience for any parent to go through. 

Our thoughts are very much with them too. The rendition of You'll Never Walk Alone to accompany the applause was beautiful.

Mo..

Liverpool soon struck again in an unbelievable move.. Matip ran through from defence, played a quick return pass with Diaz and laid the ball into Mane. Who played a lovely reverse pass to Mo over the United defences heads and Salah finished with ease into the bottom corner..

The front 3 were exceptional all game. Linking time and again. At half time United must have been thinking they were lucky it wasn't 5 or 6. Diaz had one ruled out for offside too..

Mane..

In the second half Liverpool started slow as they did against City at Wembley. After a double save from the ever impressive Alisson Liverpool sprung back to life. Upping their game once more. Thiago who dominated everything all game started to gain more and more control of the play.

A sloppy pass out of defence led to Liverpool's third. Robbo snapped into a tackle and he was away down that left wing. Diaz went wide and was picked out easily and cut inside to set up Mane who made a hard finish look very simple.. Guiding the ball into the far corner with an excellent left foot finish..

Mo..

Salah made it four with five minutes left to play with a lovely chipped finish from a Jota through ball.. Again he made this look easy too and it was great to see Mo back on the score sheet. This front three has us all buzzing..

They are frightening.. All of them recording a goal and an assist. Mo hit his 30th goal of the season.. and the back up of Bobby, Jota & Harvey leaves us looking very strong for a few years to come..
