Finally we are back at Anfield after a month.. Last time out it was a 7-0 drubbing of Man United.. Which seems like an age ago now. We thought we had turned that corner but things took yet another twist and we are without a win since..
If we'd have had a run of home games things may have been different.. Maybe.. Still.. Last time out the boss rang the changes and the team looked solid once again. Sure Chelsea had some chances but confidence is low and we were away so you'd expect that.. That clean sheet will do us the world of good..
Arsenal are flying right now and look very much like the Liverpool of a year ago. A strong unit that attacks and defends as one.. The midfield backs up the forwards in the press and the wingers are fast and assertive..
As with games against The Gunners over the years this promises to be yet another action packed footballing spectacular.. Two of the oldest most traditional clubs in the game going head to head..
Quick Stat Check.. Arsenal have won 4 & drawn 2 of their last 6.. The Reds have won 2 of their last 6 (both at home) Losing 3 and drawing the other.. In the head to heads Arsenal won the game at The emirates but haven't won at Anfield since 2012 in the league..

Long term injuries include Keita (surprised..?), Bajcetic & Ramsay who are out for the season.. Big Virg will back after illness last time out and Thiago & Diaz could well feature from the bench.
Thiago was back in training this week and Diaz has been building up his fitness in his long awaited return after injuring his knee against the Londoners..
ARSENAL
Arsenal are not fairing too bad with four players out.. Tomiyasu, Nketiah, Saliba & Elneny look set to miss out although Saliba could make it..
DANGERMAN.. Martinelli.. The left winger come striker has it all. Skills, Pace and plenty of Goals. He always plays well against us. Saka gets a lot of plaudits and rightly so. Yet he is a major threat..

THE GAME
Against Chelsea the balance once again seemed right and with Joe on the right and Matip back in the side you felt safe.. In the middle of the park Fabs & Hendo looked great and Curtis Jones controlled the ball in there nicely. Though you could see he was short of minutes at times..
Up top the ball finally stuck once again. For all the goals Mo scores he needs to keep possession a lot better and dominate defences again. Bobby, Diogo & Nunez certainly did this. When Gakpo & Mo came on late in that game if Nunez had stayed on too you feel we could have left the bridge with the points..
With the threat of Martinelli you feel Joe has to start although the murmurs are Trent & Virg will.. The time is now to move Trent into the middle or even wide right. The obvious is there. We should be building our team around him. He is the most exciting attacking talent in the Prem and Joe is a quality right back..
Expect a quick start from The Reds. Lots of energy and a high press. Arsenal will sit in and try and counter.. An early goal will get the stadium rocking.. Arsenal will be patient and try to keep things tight and grow into the game through possession and quick passes.
Its going to be great game and you'd expect plenty of goals..
PREDICTION.. 3-1 To Them Mighty Reds.. Again we will await the team selection.. Yet you feel at home we are a different animal.. The fans will be loud.. Its not an early kick off.. We will be well up for it.. Nunez & Mo will be raining in the shots and set pieces too could prove fruitful..
OurLFC DANGERMAN.. Once again Nunez's pace and physicality will be vital.. Diaz may feature from the bench as he is getting closer to a full return.. Like we mentioned recently we can't wait to see these two pair up again.. Arsenal remember the outcome last time they did..
