Leicester v Liverpool PL Preview

WHEN

Leicester City v Liverpool.. Monday 15 May.. 20:00 BST

A REPEAT OF 2019

Leicester City away has always been one of them grounds we have struggled at. However poor a team they are we leave there minus the points.. This is something that Klopp has changed to an extent here and at other bogey grounds shall we call them..

One of our best results here was Boxing Day 2019 when we dominated and put four past them in one of our best displays on the road to the league title.. Goals from Milner, Trent and two from Bobby capped off an excellent game for the reds and gave us an insight into how Trent can flourish in an attacking role..

The last two seasons are not so good losing 3-1 in 20/21.. and going down 1-0 in arguably one of our worst away performances last season.. The warning signs of that game have been all too obvious at most away games this season..

Slow, Lethargic play.. Dare we say thinking we've won before the game has started.. Or maybe the belief that we will always score more than you.. Either way if you don't turn up at an away game in the Premier League expecting a fight and not putting in the hard yards you will nine times out of ten lose..

So we want more of that Leeds away work rate and get back to that 4-0 win of 2019.. That could be the secret to more league titles in the future because last season that was one of the key ingredients to us not winning No:20..

Quick Stat Check.. Leicester have Won 1, Drawn 2 & Lost 3 of their last 6.. Liverpool have Won 6 in a row and that form guide looks great as does the league table finally..

LIVERPOOL TEAM NEWS

LEICESTER TEAM NEWS

James Justin & Jannie Vestergaard are ruled out. While Ryan Bertrand & James Justin face late fitness tests.

DANGERMAN.. James Maddison.. Again like most top quality Prem stars he likes to spend more time diving around so expect plenty of that.. Yet when he stays on his feet he is capable of anything. Also like most similar Prem stars.. Goals, Assists, Set Pieces and the ability to unlock any defence put this lad right up there.. If he stays on his feet then his numbers could double once again like most Prem stars.. One to watch out for but if the gamesmanship starts let him get on with it..

THE GAME

As stated at the start of this post we have to turn up. Dominate possession and be clinical and top class in attack.. We have so many top class options in attack probably more so now than at any other time in Klopps time. It's nailing down their positions and roles in the team.

They have all played everywhere along the front line and in midfield and it's time to get some consistency here so they can gel properly like the front three of old. Show some class in front of goal which they all have and finish these teams of quickly and expertly.

The defence which is everyones concern will have to be on their toes as with any away fixture so thats pretty obvious. But again we need consistency here in selection and positioning.. We think we've gone to a back three but in reality its a back 2..

Virg got spun by Mbuemo at left back on the halfway line for a disallowed goal last time out and nearly busted an ankle slipping at right back trying to stop Harry Kanes goal for Spurs.. When in reality he should have been in neither position.

Still footballs a funny old game like they say.. We have probably played 3 much better games this season than the Spurs, Brentford & Forest games and lost. Yet we racked up 9 points..

So a bit of solidity.. Defend from the front.. Back this up with a strong midfield display and more controlled defence minus the high press from at least four of them and let's give Ali a bit of a chill cos he's been unbelievable all season. If anyone deserves a huge pay rise its him he's defo earned it..

PREDICTION.. 3-1 To Them Mighty Reds..You feel on the road at the minute really suits us as teams have a go and we have to respect that. So we are able to be a bit freer in attack. Counters and some pretty nice passing have led to some cool finishes.

The return of Diaz has added some flare and Jota has been in some pretty serious form too. Gakpo also seems to thrive so you'd expect goals from us in our push for top four..

Leicester have been struggling and are in danger of going down so will be well up for this and they simply have to win. Their fate will go down to the wire. They are leaking goals yet also scoring a few so it will be interesting..

Their search for goals will leave plenty of spaces in behind..

OurLFC DANGERMAN.. Trent.. Yes he's in midfield but he should be in the attacking half all the time. Play Joe Gomez in defence and let Robbo do what Trent is doing now and watch this team explode.. Again its glaringly obvious..

Still with Trent in there pulling the strings he can and will always unlock any defence. He goes from strength to strength. His numbers are going up again and you'd expect more from him here.. He still lacks a goal which won't be too far away to add to this rebirth but the warning signs are there for opposing teams..

That net will be bulging soon from a Trent rocket..
