We pretty much nailed it this week in the Match Preview.. Barring the score where we gave Leicester a goal.. Liverpool running out pretty easy winners with a couple of quality finishes from Curtis Jones and an absolute rocket from Trent..
We wanted a replica of that performance on Boxing Day 2019 and thats what we got.. The reds kept possession really well and after a few little early attacks kept Leicester pinned back most of the game.
Curtis first came after a long clearance from Ali caused a bit of mayhem in their defence. Diaz headed down to Hendo who laid it off to Mo who chipped a cross in for a cool close range finish..
Minutes later Mo turned provider again after some quick passes freed up Curtis to control and smash a ball into the left corner of the foxes net..
The rest of the match played out really easy. Leicester brought on a couple of subs which added a bit of pace and you felt we needed another goal just to put the game to bed.. When Hendo was brought down on the edge of the box you knew what was coming..
Step up Trent and take a bow son.. Mo back healed his third assist for Trent to smash in to the top right hand corner.. What a strike.. Again we talked about the goals being the only thing missing from his rebirth and he duly assisted..
Two games to go and the pressure is back on the others to respond in that race for top four.. We looked loads more compact all over the pitch and very clinical in attack.. A clean sheet once more to add to the mix so if they do slip up we are looking very ready to pounce..
