Ibrahima Konate Star Player v Southampton:

What a performance from our young French Center Back.. Fitting in alongside Matip while the rested Virgil Van Dijk chilled out at home he was simply immense..

He has been solid as a rock all season and was no different in this performance. Winning headers, Tackles and looked so composed on the ball..

Konate is just so strong and so quick.. His reading of the game is beyond his young years and he eats up any through balls to pacy forwards.. He is also a massive presence from set pieces..

What A Signing:

While everyone and their dog was signing ready made big name Center Backs. This lad came in well under the radar.. Although he would have been well known to FIFA Players.. I'm no exception..

When Bayern signed his RB Leipzig team mate Upmecano (Who was another FIFA Beast) they missed a trick. Fair enough there is only a years difference in age but that looks a life time apart in ability and awareness on the pitch.

Sure some of this comes down to coaching of which we are second to none with these young gems. But at around £36million (which of course is not to be sniffed at) this is an absolute steal.

With 27 games and no losses for the young lad so far you wonder just how much he is worth now..
