The Boss Signs Up
There were rumblings this morning that Jürgen Klopp was looking to sign a new deal and now things have been confirmed. The boss has signed up for another 2 years.. Which is 4 years in total from now. Meaning his deal will run til 2026..
Was It Ever In Doubt..
To be honest not really.. We had discussed within our group many a time.. Will he.. Won't he.. Klopp himself summed it up in his announcement video that things are just too good to be leaving anytime soon..
Its not just his trophy haul that could easily grow in the coming weeks.. Its the new training ground.. The continuing development of Anfield.. The amazing squad he's built and the team behind it he's amassed over his time at the club so far.. This is very much the house that Klopp built..
The Fans & Young Players
Add to this the connection he has with us 'the fans' and it really is the complete package..
Another thought here is he seems intent on rebuilding or should we say continuing to shape the squad.. A few players are hitting their 30's but they are still very much in their prime. Namely the front 3..
But it's the exciting young players that are breaking through. The long term future of the club.. Konate, Harvey, Curtis, Diogo to name a few.. Signings of the Diaz ilk.. Plus all the young lads that are out on loans and being developed to bring into the first team squad..
Things really are in an excellent place. This may well give the players that extra lift. That extra push and belief to bring home the silverware still on offer in this amazing season we are witnessing right now.
Plus Klopps missus wouldn't let him leave so he had no choice..
