After quite a bit of speculation over the last week the club have officially announced that James Milner has signed a new 1 year deal on reduced terms..
This is great news for everybody. He is a massive character around the club, the training ground and the dressing room.. Jürgen Klopp will be extremely happy with this deal..
Pre Season Training & The Next Generation:
I can guarantee though a few players won't be pleased to see him doing that bleep test when pre season begins. At 36 years young the veteran (if you can really call him that) will still put everyone to shame..
What an example he sets with his standards to all around him in the first team set up. He just seems to get better and better with age and as we saw against Southampton he can still play just about anywhere. Although he looked so well suited to that holding midfield role.
Also in that game you saw the importance he is to the young lads coming through. Constantly talking and guiding them through the game. The education he can give to these lads is priceless and he surely will take up that coaching position one day too all being well..
