DEAL CLOSE: Ryan Gravenberch

Liverpool have tonight agreed the £34 million signing of Ryan Gravenberch. On a 5 year deal.

With the transfer window due to shut in a matter of hours now The Reds have pulled off a proper Liverpool style transfer. With all the crazy money spent on other players we were linked with this is a serious steal.

Gravenberch has played at the top level with Ajax which prompted Bayern Munich to buy him last season. For whatever reason it hasn't worked and The Bavarians have shown their class as we did with Mane in making the process very smooth and extremely respectful.

The dutch international is very much like his fellow countryman Cody Gakpo in the way he comes with an exceptional pedigree and at 21 years of age will have plenty of time to work on his craft. Saying that he is also ready to go straight into the team if needed and match fit.

A player of this age and quality could not be at a better club to progress. We are sure Virg will be happy to have another Dutch mate around too. The player is due to fly to Liverpool for his medical before he is officially announced.
