OK JOHAN WHY LIVERPOOL..
Well when I was a child I went to see Benfica against Liverpool in 84 with my uncle, I was fascinated by the supporters from Liverpool and just fell in love.. I also loved Kenny Dalglish & Ian Rush.. and later another serious favourite was John Barnes... By the way Liverpool won 4-1 so I was hooked.
THE RED SHIRT STORY..
Yeah supporting Liverpool led to a bit of a misunderstanding with my Dad mind you.. He's a Sporting Clube de Portugal fan and they play in Green & White Jerseys.. They are big rivals with Benfica..
When I wore the LFC jersey my dad went crazy.. 'WTF.. A Red Jersey?'.. So I said to him..'It isn't a Benfica Jersey Dad it's OK.. It's a Liverpool Jersey..' and my father said..'Yeah but it's Fu*@ing Red..' Ha Ha bless him.. We won the European Cup that season too.. In that Red Shirt..
THE SEASON SO FAR
Well the season for The Reds is being atypical.. We started with a lot of hope.. We had just signed Darwin Nunes and we had even won the Community Shield against City.. We looked set for a glorious season..
But the first game for the Premier League didn't go very well as we drew 2-2 at Craven Cottage.. Then in the first game at Anfield another draw.. Then the game at old Trafford which we lost 2-1 you felt we were in trouble..This for me marked Liverpool's bad season..
It showed that our midfield was weak and that the defense was not as consistent as in previous seasons.. Trent.. I just don't know what's going on with him. He's not at his best and that affects the team because the balls don't reach Salah & Darwin..
Not to mention the injuries that have affected the club.. When the World Cup break came we thought we were going to give a positive response but that is not happening either..
The Premier League is a mirage.. We were knocked out of the Carabao Cup & The FA Cup.. Now we have to bet everything on the Champions League against Real Madrid and hopefully some luck to get a chance at top four..
PICK A TEAM TO GET US OUT OF IT
Alison.. Matip.. Konate.. Gomez.. Robbo.. Bajcetic..Trent.. Thiago.. Gakpo.. Salah.. & Nuñes.. This team is with Van Dijk still injured..
We must change the right back to Gomez and move Trent to midfield.. He can produce great assists and it's the best position for him.. He can be a real danger man and can get us firing.. He will also add goals to a midfield which really struggles in that department
MY FAVOURITE MEMORY
The Istambul Final against AC Milan is an obvious one.. The 4-3 match against Dortmund and the 5-0 at Old Trafford were great too.. But the 4-0 win against Barcelona is the one for me..It was huge..

Yes.. It's easy to support Liverpool when we are on top or in glory.. Now we have to support Liverpool when we struggle.. That means character.. You'll never walk alone is not only a song it's an anthem..
